Sports Capital Journalism Program

The Sports Capital Journalism Program is a vital part of the Department of Journalism and Public Relations at the IU School of Liberal Arts. It examines the sports industry through research initiatives and develops future professionals as storytellers across all communication platforms. The program is uniquely positioned to have its students cover regional, national and international sporting events, capitalizing on its Indianapolis headquarters — home of the National Collegiate Athletic Association National Office, professional sports organizations, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, multiple national sports governing bodies and a long history of hosting prestigious competitions.
