The Santayana Edition at IUPUI held a virtual launch of A Life of Scholarship with Santayana by Herman Saatkamp on May 16, 2021. International Scholars gathered in Zoom to hear Dr. Saatkamp share about Santayana.

“Santayana was a century ahead of his time,” Saatkamp shared. Scholars heard about Santayana’s explanations of human behavior that are being researched in neurosciences and genetics today. Participants learned how Santayana’s naturalism impacts the world today.

Martin Coleman, General Editor of The Works of George Santayana, was moderator. Editors Charles Padrón and Krzysztof Skowroński shared their reflections on this incredible work.

The law divides gambling into four categories: online casino table games, virtual slots and betting. Virtual slots and poker will be licensed under an open model, while rules are different for roulette, baccarat and other table games. Each federal Pin up state will decide separately whether to establish a monopoly on them or start issuing licenses. The number of available licenses will coincide with the number of licensed land-based casino operators in the region.
