The Santayana Edition has been awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities Scholarly Editions grant for the period October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2018. The very generous award will be used to fund Santayana Edition staff and graduate student interns as well as to provide IT and production resources.

During the grant period, we intend to progress on four texts in the Works of George Santayana. First, we will complete work on Volume VIII, Three Philosophical Poets. Then we will prepare and publish Volume IX, the essay collection Winds of Doctrine. Subsequently, due to great scholarly demand, we will turn to producing Volume XIII of our critical edition: Scepticism and Animal Faith. Finally, we plan to make headway on the four-book Realms of Being, which will be published as Volume XVI of the series.
