The mission of the Bradbury Center is to fully document, preserve, and provide public access to its large and diverse collection of Space-Age visionary author Ray Bradbury’s literary works, art, artifacts, personal office, personal library, correspondence, typescripts, manuscripts, photographs, mementoes, audiovisual materials and juvenilia; to enable visiting scholars and students to conduct research; to continue its outreach programming in the Indianapolis community, throughout Indiana, nationally, and internationally, with an emphasis on reaching high school teachers, students, and librarians; and to continue publishing our annual scholarly journal The New Ray Bradbury Review.
Through the Bradbury Center, Indiana University curates and preserves the legacy of a Midwestern-born author who is also a national cultural treasure.

You may be a science fiction fan, a space nut, a comic book geek, a Bradbury devotee, a Disney aficionado, a museum lover, or any one of the awesome 7.7B people who inhabit this beautiful blue marble. The Bradbury Center is dedicated to recognizing and addressing bias and structural inequalities, working towards equity of access to information, resources and programming for all individuals, and valuing the diversity of human experience.
The Bradbury Center acknowledges our location on the traditional and ancestral territory of the Miami, Potawatomi, and Shawnee people. We honor the heritage of Native peoples, what they teach us about the stewardship of the earth, and their continuing efforts today to protect the planet. Founded in 1969, IUPUI stands on the historic homelands of Native peoples and, more recently, that of a vibrant Black community, also displaced. As the present stewards of the land, we honor them all as we live, work, and study at IUPUI.
