Shonda Nicole Gladden’s is conducting research on Black Trans lives which will inform the online symposium titled “The Soul of Black Folx” that will take place March 31, 2020, the International Transgender Day of Visibility.
She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in American Studies through the Cultural Ecologies track at IUPUI Arts and Humanities Institute and has served the African Methodist Episcopal church in various support and leadership capacities for more than 27 years.
