Drs. Maria Brann and Jennifer Bute, faculty members in the Department of Communication Studies in the IU School of Liberal Arts at IU Indianapolis, have been invited to speak at a historic, groundbreaking symposium hosted by the Institute of Reproductive Grief Care. The Institute of Reproductive Grief Care, the global authority on reproductive grief care research and education, is holding its inaugural Symposium on reproductive grief care at its national headquarters in San Diego on March 24th, 2023. Speakers at this invitation-only event were chosen for their groundbreaking research and innovative best practices related to pregnancy loss, reproductive loss, and reproductive grief care. Drs. Brann and Bute will speak at a plenary session about screening past losses and lead an interactive session about administering care. Dr. Michaelene Fredenburg, president and CEO of the Institute of Reproductive Grief Care, was happy to offer this speaking invitation to Drs. Brann and Bute as “they are playing an important and integral part in transforming cultural attitudes and healthcare practices that impact those experiencing reproductive loss.” To learn more, visit the Symposium’s special website and The Institute’s homepage.
