Andrew Whitehead, professor of sociology and director of the Association of Religion Data Archives at IU Indianapolis, is ranked #7 globally out of over 45,000 scholars ranked in sociology in the last 5 years. Looking at the US alone his ranking increases to #5. “Highly Ranked Scholars” are those with ranks of 0.05% or better based on their productivity, impact, and quality of research. Dr. Whitehead is the only “highly ranked scholar” from any field across all of IU Indianapolis over the last 5 years.
