Robert White’s biography, Ruairí Ó Brádaigh, the Life and Politics of an Irish Revolutionary, was the focus of a recent podcast of The Cedar Lounge Revolution, an Irish political blog. Ruairí Ó Brádaigh, who served as Chief of Staff of the Irish Republican Army, President of Sinn Féin, and President of Republican Sinn Féin, remains an important figure in the history of the Irish Republican Movement.  At the time of his death (2013), he was the most prominent of the “dissidents” who reject the peace agreement in Northern Ireland and support the right of Irish people to engage in political violence in order to achieve a united Ireland. The book, published by IU Press in 2006, was issued as a paperback in 2020.
