IU Indianapolis sociologist Andrew Whitehead published an analysis in Time magazine of why the recent midterm election losses of prominent politicians who embrace Christian nationalism aren’t likely to change the minds of Americans who embrace Christian nationalism. Whitehead and colleague Sam Perry cite data that show even though the numbers of Americans who embrace Christian nationalism is slowly declining, these same Americans feel as though their ranks are growing and represent a majority of Americans.
