We look at election results and voting trends in my class Voting, Elections, and Public Opinion (POLS Y317) all the time. However, I sometimes forget that many folks don’t ever take a class like this. Well, let me direct you to the Pew Research Center, which does excellent work breaking down voting trends. Here is their examination of the 2020 electorate based on validated voters, i.e., those respondents they could confirm actually showed up to vote rather than just told a survey that they did.

Here is an interesting figure from the report:

Notice the gender gap narrows from 2016 to 2020 among White voters. White men moved toward Biden, while White women moved toward Trump. I highly recommend reading through their whole report.
