Voting in less than 5 minutes. Can’t beat that!

Early voting in Indianapolis’ mayoral race is open. Odd year elections are typically lower turnout than elections that happen during even year national elections.

The choice to hold the election in an odd year is to avoid having the mayoral race lost in the hoopla that surrounds big national elections. By doing this voters can focus specifically on the candidates vying for office in their local communities. The tradeoff is that you get lower participation.
