“The classes in the WGSS Program are truly meaningful experiences that change the way you see the world. Gender and sexuality touch every aspect of our lives, and understanding gender disparities is essential for finding solutions and working toward a more equal society. My advice to current undergraduates is to diversify their undergraduate experience. When I first came to IU Indianapolis, I was only pursuing a Science degree, but I quickly learned that a Liberal Arts major or minor can complement any other degree. My experience with WGSS and Liberal Arts helped me see the world from a different perspective and enhanced my educational experience.”
Isra majored in sociology and biology with a minor in population health sciences. She is currently in her first year at the IU McKinney School of Law with interests in health law and policy.
