Iota Iota Iota is a national organization which serves as both an academic club and honor society for the field of Women’s and Gender Studies. The purpose of this organization is to encourage and support scholarship and excellence. Iota Iota Iota is named for the ancient goddesses Inanna, Ishtar, and Isis.
Triota was founded at IUI in 2017 by WGSS minor, Matthew Preston. The purpose of our organization is to encourage and support excellence in scholarship and service to the community which is consistent with our emphasis on women, gender, and sexuality.
Some recent projects have included celebrating IUI alumni who have contributed to the IUI community, working on an IUI panel celebrating women’s suffrage, supporting a student-led effort to restore period products to the IUI Campus Center, and participating in a Women4Change conference.
