The Ph.D. Minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies incorporates important aspects of identity, including race, class, ethnicity, sexuality, religion, disability, and more. Analyzing the social and institutional power, WGSS graduate students research how the power connects with social identities and the meanings attached. The interdisciplinary lenses and methodological approaches in WGSS give a broader understanding in its research and experiences.
Graduate students across disciplines have found their scholarship enhanced by the perspectives of the unique interdisciplinary fields of study that WGSS offers. Graduate students receive advanced training in the theoretical and methodological issues surrounding questions of gender and sexuality.
