Indiana University Indianapolis and the International Center for Intercultural Communication are honored to be among the founding members of the Kazakhstan-U.S. University Consortium (KUUC) Partnership Program. The program is administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE) and is a U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan program with funding provided by the U.S. Government.

The program aims to strengthen existing ties and foster new strategic partnerships between U.S. and Kazakhstan institutions by developing an innovative consortium and community of practice. As a founding member, we will have the opportunity to meet virtually with 31 U.S. universities, including Purdue University, and 31 Kazakh universities. In year one, there will be three main focus areas:

  • Increased understanding of university financial management systems or entrepreneurial models
  • Best practices on university management, research and commercialization models
  • Increased knowledge an of research methodologies, and the publication process, particularly in STEM fields; focused on consortium production on quality research publications
