Do you have an interest in history or history-adjacent fields, but lack a community to share it with?

The History Club at IU Indianapolis might be the right fit for you.

This Spring, the club invites any and all who are interested to participate in activities among an array of enthusiastic individuals.

During the Fall, the History Club held several meetings, in which they discussed goals, planned activities, and the future of the association. They celebrated several holidays (and of course, the history of such celebrations) like Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Gatherings that fell outside of holiday windows included theme nights, like ‘Board Game Night’, in which the history of board games was briefly discussed. After the overview, the club enacted a sort of ‘living history’ by playing these board games.

On the road ahead, activities in the spring include historical site visits, community outreach, preservation action, and more. The club is still in the early stages, so if you wish to be a part of an extracurricular activity from the very foundations, consider joining the History Club this semester.

Our first callout meeting will be Tuesday, January 28th, 5:30p.m. The meeting will be on the second floor of Cavanaugh Hall in room 215.
