EALC-E 397 Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Spring 2025 (Online)
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) originated from China thousands of years ago and subsequently spread to East Asian countries. Today, it continues to be actively practiced throughout East Asia and has also gained recognition in the West as an alternative medicine. Because of its wide application and great influence over people’s lives, TCM warrants a study of its own.
This course covers the theoretical foundations of TCM and examines its basic perspectives on body, ailments, diagnoses, and treatments. It also introduces health maintenance from the TCM perspective.
NOTE: All majors and class standings welcome.
