The public is invited to attend the Inaugural IUPUI Latino Book Fair / Feria del Libro Latino, held on Saturday, October 21st, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM in the IUPUI Campus Center, 420 University Boulevard, Indianapolis.
The Latino Book Fair will bring together over fifty Latino writers, publishers, and booksellers from all regions of the United States for a festival featuring exhibits and sales of their works, in addition to an entire program of panel presentations, children’s book readings, and discussions. Visitors will be invited to view books and attend talks of Latino works from all genres, ranging from children’s literature to poetry, short stories, drama, and novels.
This festival is organized by the IU School of Liberal Arts Latino Studies Program, IU School of Liberal Art Program in Spanish, and the Indiana Delegation of the Academia Norteamericana de la Lengua Española. IUPUI administrators, State Senator Andrea Hunley, and Letitia Maki Teramoto Sakamoto & Fernando Ceja from the Mexican Consulate will inaugurate this event at 10:30 AM.
Parking and admission to the event are free. The book exhibits and program of discussions will take place on various levels of the IUPUI Campus Center. Learn, enjoy, and participate in the Inaugural Latino Book Fair.
