Throughout the year, the Museum Studies program sponsors special events across campus and throughout Indianapolis that are open to all students. From evening lectures by leading experts to local exhibit openings, department parties to alumni-run programs, you will have many opportunities to socialize, make new friends, and grow your professional network.
A highlight of the calendar is the annual Museum Studies “Networking Event,” created and hosted each spring by Master’s Degree students in their final semester. As part of MSTD A530 Museum Colloquium class, the capstone course of the graduate curriculum, students plan and implement every phase of a special evening event designed to further relationships among students, alumni, and the entire Indianapolis museum community. Recent “networking event” activities have included speed interviewing, slam poetry reading, and game night. Don’t miss this annual tradition!
