For as long as I can remember, museums and storytelling have captured my imagination. Whether wandering through exhibits as a child or contemplating the ways objects carry narratives of connection and transformation, my passion for preserving and sharing stories has been a source of inspiration in my life.

Over the past two years in the Museum Studies program, I’ve built on this foundation, embarking on an incredible journey in the museum field. My ePortfolio is a culmination of this transformative period, showcasing the dynamic projects, collaborations, and research that has shaped my understanding of museum work.

From facilitating object-handling workshops to delving deep into community partnerships, my experiences reflect a dedication to ethical practices and community engagement. Whether it’s exploring innovative approaches to object care or collaborating with partners on curatorial projects that amplify underrepresented voices, every endeavor has fueled my passion for fostering meaningful connections and storytelling.

Through my ePortfolio, you’ll get a glimpse into my work:

Community Collaboration and Curation: Participated in meaningful cultural preservation work at the Ziibiwing Center of Anishinabe Culture and Lifeways, focusing on collaborative projects that center Indigenous narratives.

Collections and Conservation: Gained hands-on experience in object care and conservation techniques at my internship with the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, contributing to the preservation of historical treasures and exhibits.

Teaching and Research: Served as a teaching assistant, facilitating learning environments and conducting in-depth research to enhance understanding and accessibility in museum practices.

I invite you to explore my ePortfolio, where each project and collaboration tells a story of growth, dedication, and the vibrant possibilities of museum work. Together, let’s embrace the potential of museums as spaces that not only preserve our past but inspire the connections that shape our future.
