In addition to a few competitive positions working as research assistants, some of our students present their research at conferences and are coauthors on faculty publications and reports. The University Graduate School offers travel grants to present research at conferences and students have been involved in service activities and have won awards for their work.

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IU Indianapolis offers seminars, workshops and conferences that specifically target graduate students. Our students have completed internships in a wide variety of places, including the Damien Center, the Never Alone Project, Girls Inc, the Indiana State Department of Health, as well as research internships for different Centers on campus (e.g., Survey Research Center, the Polis Center, SPEA’s Urban and Health Policy Center.)
