Certificate in Theatre and Performance

Develop your skills in the analysis, creation, and production of performance with a particular focus on small group and solo performance in the urban context. You will be exposed to numerous cultural and theoretical perspectives from which to engage current scholarship in the field of theatre and performance.

Admission Requirements:

Students who are currently enrolled at IU Indianapolis may be considered for this certificate if they meet the following criteria:

• Have earned 55 credit hours toward their degree at IU Indianapolis and have at least a cumulative 2.0 GPA

Students who have not enrolled at IU Indianapolis may be considered for this certificate if they meet the following criteria:

• Apply for Undergraduate Admission to IU Indianapolis and specify the Theatre and Performance Certificate as their objective. They must also have 55 credit hours of transferable work and at least a cumulative 2.0 GPA

TRANSFER STUDENTS: Only 6 credit hours of Theatre transfer course credit can be applied to this certificate

Certificate in Intercultural Health

If you are in the health field, this certificate will prepare you to become a leader in the service of international and intercultural community members.

The four-semester program will provide a curriculum that incorporates language proficiency levels in tracks in Chinese (Mandarin), French, or Spanish at the 300 and 400 levels for undergraduates, combined with a focus on core nursing, public health, and other health science skills that include clinical laboratory and human patient simulation experiences in a bilingual setting.

The Intercultural Health Certificate represents a collaboration between the IU School of Liberal Arts in Indianapolis, the IU School of Nursing, and the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health.

Certificate in Intergroup Dialogue

Prepare to make the world a more inclusive place by studying intercultural communication, conflict resolution, civil discourse, and leadership.

The Certificate in Intergroup Dialogue (IGD) is a 12-credit hour undergraduate certificate. You can complete course requirements within three to four semesters. Curriculum for the Certificate in Intergroup Dialogue will include the following requirements and list of course offerings:

Requirements for this certificate are as follows:

• Completion of a total of 12 credit hours (4 courses), with a minimum grade of C in each course and an overall 2.0 GPA in the certificate coursework.
• Completion of a minimum of 9 credits at IU Indianapolis
• No more than 3 credit hours may transfer from another institution.
• The Category A, B, and D courses are required to be completed at IU Indianapolis.
• Students who wish to declare the certificate offered through the IU School of Liberal Arts in Indianapolis must complete at least one 3 credit hour course that if offered through the School of Liberal Arts.
