We’re excited to launch our Graduate Alumni Spotlight Series, highlighting the journeys and accomplishments of alumni from the Communication Studies Department’s graduate programs. 

Kicking off the series is Trent Deckard, a 2017 graduate of the Master’s program in Applied Communication, who now serves as a faculty member in Business Communication and MBA programs at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University Bloomington. Trent is a two-time recipient of the Trustees’ Teaching Award and also teaches in executive education and leadership development programs across the globe. He’s currently completing a PhD in Global Leadership and remains active in public service as president of the Monroe County Council.
