When you pass Level 7 at PIE, you meet the English proficiency requirement for Master’s degree programs at IUPUI* and Purdue University in West Lafayette (*Select programs, check with the individual program to ensure they accept PIE). For these specific programs, you will not have to show a TOEFL or IELTS score. Please note depending on the Master’s degree program you plan to take, you might have to show some other test scores, like the GRE or GMAT test.
You should talk to an advisor in the Master’s degree program as soon as possible so that you understand all the requirements for admission.
When should I apply to University?
If you plan to go to college or university after PIE, you should apply early. We recommend applying at the same time that you apply to PIE, or soon after.
Do not wait to apply to the degree program until you have finished studying at PIE.
Conditional Admission
PIE does not give you conditional admission to IUPUI degree programs. PIE provides English classes to help you meet the English proficiency requirement for admission to IUPUI and other colleges and universities. To get conditional admission to a university degree program, you must apply to that degree program as well as to PIE. PIE has a relationship with IUPUI, Purdue University in West Lafayette, Butler University, University of Indianapolis, and Ivy Tech Community College. We are happy to connect you with our University partners so that you may receive admission to your University degree program after finishing your studies at PIE.
