City of Indianapolis

About Indianapolis

THE HEART OF THE AMERICAN MIDWEST!

  • Indianapolis (“Indy”) is the capital city of Indiana and the 14th largest city in the United States.
  • The city is a middle sized city (not too large like New York or Chicago, but not very small.)
  • The city is famous for industry as well as for major sporting venues and teams, such as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (home of the “Indy 500”), Indiana Pacers (basketball), the Indianapolis Colts (American football), and the Indy Eleven soccer team.
  • The midwest is known for being very friendly!
  • Although Indianapolis is a larger city, it is convenient to get around and there are many parks and green spaces where you can enjoy being outside.
