Transfer Students

TRANSFERRING TO PIE AS AN F-1 STUDENT:

The Program for Intensive English accepts International Transfer students currently in the United States on an F-1 visa.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a transfer you must be in valid F-1 status.
We will contact your old school to confirm that you are eligible for a transfer.

 

How to Transfer to PIE:

1. Email PIE at inpie@iu.edu with a picture of your current I-20 and your I-94
2. Apply to PIE on our website
3. PIE will provide an admission letter and a transfer form. 
4. Give your admission letter and transfer form to your current school.
5. Your current school will release your SEVIS record to us at the conclusion of your studies.
6. You will receive a new I-20 from PIE, and are required to start in the next available session.

Other Situations: 

• If you just entered the USA but have not started studying yet please email us at inpie@iu.edu. You must begin studying within 30 days of entering the USA.
• If you plan to travel outside of the United States between attending your old school and starting at PIE, please let us know at inpie@iu.edu.
