Kissel School of Liberal Arts Learning Community Scholarship
Overview
This scholarship supports first-year students in the IU School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI through recognizing their successful completion of a Liberal Arts First-Year Seminar. Themed Learning Communities (TLCs) are circular practices designed to support entering students and have been shown to improve student engagement and retention. The scholarship was created by our respected and esteemed colleague and faculty member, Francia Kissel, and her husband, Robert Kissel, who are committed to helping liberal arts students succeed at IUPUI.
