Six IU School of Liberal Arts students were recently recognized at IU Indianapolis’s inaugural Honors Convocation, celebrating this year’s most academically distinguished undergraduate students. The event, held on April 6 at the IU Natatorium on the Indianapolis campus, was an opportunity for students and families to come together and be honored by faculty and staff for their hard work, dedication, and achievements as IU Indy’s top scholars. Awards were given for the 2025 IU Indianapolis Top 100, Top 10 Seniors, Outstanding Seniors, and Chancellor’s Scholars.
Each year, the campus celebrates the outstanding achievements of 100 juniors and seniors who have demonstrated their commitment to academic excellence, campus leadership, and community engagement throughout their time at IU Indianapolis. Congratulations to Liberal Arts students Virginia Sever, Anna Turgeon, and Kamya Williams for their selection to the 2025 IU Indianapolis Top 100 list.
Also acknowledged were this year’s IU Indianapolis’ Outstanding Seniors. This award is given to seniors who sustained academic excellence for the duration of their college career. Liberal Arts students Hayden Alexander Garris, Jordyn Mackenzie Pax, and Devin Daniel Weinbrecht were each recognized for this impressive achievement.
Anticipation was high as the 2025 Chancellor’s Scholars Awards were presented to the top students from each academic unit on campus. This year’s high honor for the IU School of Liberal Arts was given to Hayden Alexander Garris. Garris is a senior, graduating this May with a degree in English with a concentration in Literature.
Congratulations to these Liberal Arts Jags for an outstanding academic year and their memorable achievements!
