Overview
The Larry J. Zimmerman Fund for Student Research Support was created by colleagues, students, and friends to honor the career of Professor Emeritus Larry Zimmerman upon his retirement and to enhance opportunities to support student research in anthropology, museum studies, indigenous studies, and cultural heritage studies.
Selection Criteria
Undergraduate or graduate students who are studying Anthropology, Museum Studies, or Native American & Indigenous Studies within the IU School of Liberal Arts in Indianapolis and are conducting research in anthropology, museum studies, indigenous studies, and cultural heritage studies are eligible. Expenditures may include, but are not limited to, costs associated with fieldwork and/or presentation of research at conferences.
Supplemental Questions
- Submit a one-page proposal for how the funds would be used that includes a statement of how the experience contributes to your educational and/or professional goals, including a simple budget.
- A research design (as appropriate) or documentation of acceptance at a conference.
- Please provide the name of a faculty member who could serve as a reference related to your research.
How to Apply
Students may apply as soon as able to put together a proposal for fall and/or spring semester for consideration prior to deadline indicated above.
