Scholarships

The IU School of Liberal Arts has one of the largest scholarship and award programs at Indiana University Indianapolis. Through the generosity of our scholarship donors, the School is able to provide 250+ scholarships worth over $500K in scholarship assistance to our incoming beginning, undergraduate and graduate students.

You can see our full list of scholarships on this page by department/program and educational level. We also offer many scholarships available to all School of Liberal Arts undergraduate and graduate students that are not department specific.

How to apply for scholarships

Once you’ve found the scholarships that appeal to you, you’ll need to follow the steps below to apply. Most scholarships have an application deadline of February 1.

1. Sign in to the scholarship portal using your IU username and passphrase.
2. Complete the general scholarship application to be automatically considered for all the scholarship opportunities you’re eligible for.
3. Find the opportunities you’re looking for by performing a search with keyword IU School of Liberal Arts or the specific name of the scholarship.
4. Complete any additional application materials that may be necessary.
